Homemade Caesar Dressing is so incredibly easy to make and tastes way better than anything you’ll find at the store. If you love a classic Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, this creamy Caesar Dressing recipe is one you’ll want to keep on repeat. It’s rich, tangy, and bursting with flavor.

Simply Scratch Made was born from my love of cooking at home from scratch. I’ve always believed that from scratch is just better, and this Caesar dressing proves it. It takes just a few minutes to throw together and is packed with bold, savory flavor. Honestly, it’s hard to go back to bottled after tasting this homemade version!

Key Ingredients & Substitutions

  • Mayonnaise: This is the creamy base of the dressing. Use full-fat mayo for the best texture and flavor.
  • Parmesan Cheese: Freshly shredded or grated Parmesan is best. It adds rich, nutty flavor.
  • Anchovies: Don’t skip these! Anchovies packed in oil give the dressing its classic depth and umami flavor. You can substitute with anchovy paste if that’s easier.
  • Lemon Juice: Use fresh lemon juice for brightness and balance.

💭Quick Tip

Using an immersion blender or regular blender makes this dressing super easy to whip up. You can also make it by hand, just finely mince the anchovy fillets and garlic before mixing everything together in a bowl. If you're going the hand-mixed route, be sure to use grated Parmesan cheese so it blends in well.
