Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This recipe is seriously The Best Garlic Bread recipe! Perfectly toasted and smothered in a delicious garlic butter and parmesan cheese spread. You will definitely want to keep this one in your recipe book.

In my house, we ALWAYS have garlic bread with our pasta dishes. Can you eat pasta without garlic bread? Yes, I know you can, but do you really want to? Whether we are having a delicious pasta meat sauce on spaghetti, or a creamy alfredo sauce like on this Alfredo Jumbo Shells recipe, we always have garlic bread. We love dipping the garlic bread in the sauce, for added yumminess'.

My Latest Videos

I never thought that I would share a garlic bread recipe on this blog, but here I am wanting to share with y'all my family's favorite way to eat garlic bread. I think what makes it so good is that I add a little grated parmesan to the garlic butter spread. The nutty flavor and added salt really do go well with the bread. Well actually, the best part is probably the homemade French Bread. If you have never made homemade French Bread, give my recipe a try.

Ingredients

This simple and easy recipe only has 6 ingredients.

  • French Bread
  • Butter - real butter for the best flavor. Salted or unsalted. Just keep in mind that if you use salted butter, you may need to adjust the amount of salt you add to the recipe.
  • Garlic Powder
  • Salt
  • Fresh Parsley - Dried parsley can be used.
  • Grated Parmesan - Use a blend if you have it, the more flavor the merrier!

If you want more cheese, you can add shredded parmesan or shredded cheddar after slathering the butter on the bread.

How to Make The Best Garlic Bread

This simple recipe is so easy to make. It can even be made in advance or even frozen. Just mix together the garlic butter ingredients, spread them on the sliced french bread and bake. Easy as that!

Serve it with your favorite pasta dish or as a snack, no judgement. I really hope you enjoy it as much as my family does!

This recipe makes 8 pieces of bread. You can easily double or triple the recipe with the built-in ingredient converter.

Freezing Tip

After spreading the butter on the sliced bread, place on a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for 2-3 hours. Remove from the baking sheet and store in an airtight container with parchment between the layers. Or freeze in a freezer bag.
