This One Pot Cheesy Taco Skillet recipe comes together in just 30 minutes. It's loaded with ground beef, black beans and a layer of melted cheese, making this taco skillet a satisfying dish that is always a hit with the family.
In a large skillet over medium heat combine the ground beef and diced onions. Sauté until the beef is fully cooked and the onions are tender.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and continue cooking for 30 seconds. Remove from the heat and strain off the fat.
Return the meat back to the skillet and place over medium low heat. Combine the tomato paste and all of the seasonings with the meat. Cook just until the tomato paste is fully incorporated. Turn the heat off.
Turn the oven to broil. Add the rotel and black beans to the skillet, stirring well to combine.
Sprinkle the cheese over the mixture and place in the oven for 3-4 minutes to melt the cheese.
