Ingredients

Creamy Dressing

  • ¼ cup mayo
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • to taste salt and pepper

Sandwich Ingredients

  • 2 sub rolls
  • as needed white onion thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
  • as needed romaine lettuce shredded
  • as needed tomato thinly sliced
  • 2-4 slices provolone cheese
  • as needed a combination of salami, hot coppa, hot calabrese and ham your choice of types and amount

Instructions

  • Start by making the dressing. In a small bowl combine all of the dressing ingredients, stir well and set aside.
  • Slice your sub rolls lengthwise, without cutting all the way through. This helps hold all the delicious fillings inside. Place in the oven to toast.
  • Spread a generous amount of the creamy dressing on both sides of the bread. Don’t skimp, this is where the magic starts!
  • On one half of the bread, layer the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and peppers. On the other half, add the meats and cheese. The amounts are totally up to you!
  • Close the sandwich, press gently to secure the layers, and slice in half. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Grab a jar of Italian Seasoned Sliced Pepperoncini Peppers for the best flavor!
  • For meal prep, keep the dressing separate until just before eating to avoid soggy bread.
