Equipment

  • 1 9-inch pie dish

Ingredients
  

  • 12 graham cracker sheets or 1 ½ cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 ounces unsalted butter melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. In the bowl of a food processor add the graham crackers and pulse until you have crumbs.
  • Stir in the sugar, salt and melted butter until evenly combined.
  • Add the graham cracker mixture to a 9-inch pie dish and spread it into an even layer. Press the crumbs up the sides first, then across the bottom, using the bottom of a measuring cup to pack it down firmly and evenly.
  • Bake for 10 minutes. Cool before filling.
