Ingredients

  • 6 ounces butter melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 ¼ cups dark brown sugar lightly packed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
I always use Kosher salt in my kitchen! If using table salt, start with half the amount and adjust to taste, as it is much "saltier" by volume.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.  Grease and line a 9"x13" baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl whisk together the melted butter, both sugars, eggs and vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch and salt.
  • Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and stir until full combined. Now fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with just a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool completely before cutting. Enjoy!
