Creamy, and full of flavor, this easy beef stroganoff recipe is packed full of mushrooms, onions and ground beef all held together by a savory sour cream sauce. This 30-minute meal is perfect for busy weeknights and makes great leftovers.
Beef Stroganoff is the most requested dinner meal by my oldest son. It’s undoubtedly his favorite dish to eat. I can’t blame him; it’s one of my favorites as well. In fact, it’s a family favorite! There’s always excitement when I serve this delicious, creamy noodle dish.
What makes this Beef Stroganoff easy to make?
Ground beef is used here as a more economical alternative to the traditional beef stroganoff, which is typically made with larger cuts of meat such as tenderloin or sirloin steak, thinly sliced. Most households tend to have ground beef readily available in their freezer, as opposed to tenderloin or sirloin steak.
However, if you do have either of those cuts on hand, you can certainly use them in this recipe, and the result will be equally delicious.
