Learn how to make the best sautéed squash! This easy recipe combines fresh yellow squash, onions, and garlic for a tender, savory side dish. Ready in under 20 minutes, it’s a simple scratch-made favorite for summer dinner.
I always use Kosher salt in my kitchen! If using table salt, start with half the amount and adjust to taste, as it is much "saltier" by volume.
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add sliced squash and onion to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the squash is golden and tender.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle in fresh or dried herbs like thyme or oregano.
