Guacamole

Homemade guacamole is unbeatable! It's a straightforward and tasty recipe, brimming with creamy avocados, cilantro, onions, tomatoes, and a splash of lime juice. Whip up this nutritious snack in less than 20 minutes!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Large avocados ripe
  • ½ cup red, white or yellow onion finely diced
  • 1 Large jalapeno finely diced
  • ½ cup tomato finely diced
  • 2 tablespoon fresh cilantro finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 Pinch cumin
  • 1 Pinch garlic powder
  • 1 Pinch paprika
I always use Kosher salt in my kitchen! If using table salt, start with half the amount and adjust to taste, as it is much "saltier" by volume.

Instructions
 

  • Peel and remove the seed from the avocados and place them in a medium bowl. Using a fork, mash the avocados until they are slightly creamy. Do not use a blender for this, you do not want a super loose guacamole. Leave some small pieces of avocado, these pieces will be slightly mashed when the rest of the ingredients are mixed into the bowl.
  • Next add in the diced vegetables, spices and lime juice.  Mix well.  Enjoy!
