Soft and chewy, and loaded with sprinkles, these Easy Halloween Cookies will be a hit with your kids! This recipe features a rich, chocolatey cookie filled with chocolate chips and sprinkles, crowned with more sprinkles and whimsical googly eyes.
I always use Kosher salt in my kitchen! If using table salt, start with half the amount and adjust to taste, as it is much "saltier" by volume.
Instructions
Preheat an oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Whisk until well combined. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and both sugars and cream until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Add the egg yolks in, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add in the vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkles, reserving some for the tops of the cookies.
Using a 1-ounce cookie scoop or two heaping tablespoons, scoop the dough and place on the prepared baking sheet. Top with extra sprinkles and edible eyeballs.
