Christmas M&M Sprinkle Cookies
These festive Christmas M&M Sprinkle Cookies are perfect for holiday cookie trays, Christmas parties or Santa's cookie plate. This cookie dough is loaded with red and green M&Ms, sprinkles and two different types of chocolate chips!
Ingredients
- 6 ounces unsalted butter softened
- ¾ cup light brown sugar packed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup M&M red & green
- ¼ cup sprinkles Christmas themed
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
I always use Kosher salt in my kitchen! If using table salt, start with half the amount and adjust to taste, as it is much "saltier" by volume.
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 350° F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In the bowl of a mixer cream together the butter and both sugars. Mix for approximately 6 minutes. The mixture should be lighter in color and fluffy.
- Add in the egg yolks, one at a time. Mixing well between additions. Mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, M&Ms, sprinkles and both chocolate chips.
- Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and combine just until no white streaks remain.
- Scoop out onto prepared baking sheets (1 ounce scoop or 2 rounded tablespoons) and bake for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy!
Notes
For the perfect size, use a 1-ounce portion scoop or 2 rounded tablespoons for the cookies.
If you want to make smaller cookies just use 1 rounded tablespoon per cookie.
