This Sautéed Green Beans with Mushrooms recipe is my favorite way to prepare green beans. Green beans don't always have to be drowned in water and bland. They are actually great vehicles to soak up flavors.
Sautéing allows you to preserve the crisp texture of the beans while infusing them with delicious flavors. Fresh green beans are ideal for this dish, but during the off-season, such as winter, frozen green beans are an excellent substitute.
The technique of sautéing green beans results in a texture that is both crisp and tender. Blanching them first helps retain their vibrant color.
